Inspired by a 1987 true story, this uplifting film follows a group of novice runners struggling to create a cross-country team in the economically challenged town of McFarland, California. Under the direction of Coach Jim White (Kevin Costner), a newcomer to the town’s predominantly Latino high school, the unlikely athletes battle the odds to forge not only a championship cross-country team, but an enduring legacy as well.
